FAQ

  • CBD is non-intoxicating and doesn't produce the "high" linked to THC, so that it won't impair your thinking or coordination. Some clinical trials report calming effects, but researchers say more evidence is needed before drawing firm conclusions.

  • There's no CBD product proven to treat or improve a diagnosed mental health condition, and UK regulators don't permit health claims on food-based products. If you're managing a mental health condition, speak to your GP about care and treatment options that suit you.

  • CBD wellness products, such as oils or balms, are generally used as part of a broader relaxation routine rather than a targeted stress treatment. The FSA advises healthy adults to stay within 10mg of CBD a day and to check product labelling before use.

  • CBD wellness products aren't a substitute for prescribed pain medicine, and switching between the two should only happen with a doctor's guidance. Some people use CBD balms alongside their normal routine for localised comfort, but this isn't a medical decision to make alone.

  • Seizure medication should never be swapped for over-the-counter CBD wellness products bought without medical advice. The only CBD medicine licensed for epilepsy in the UK is Epidyolex, which a specialist, closely monitored, prescribes.
